Visions of New Earth and a New Me – Janice Coyle

As founder of the New Earth Visioning Project, we have heard a lot of visions for a New Earth.  Each vision is honored and held in our hearts as we also hold space for the visionary.

In doing this now for serval years, it has become palatably obvious these visions all share a common essence. This essence is the same power that motivates and energizes our visions. It’s a creative power that transforms everything it touches. This power is love. Not surprising as love is the  essence of every being.

Our vision for New Earth is a world where Love is Lord.  What does such a world look like when it comes to governance – would we just ask the question “what would love do?”  What would love do about education, sustenance  and beautiful housing for everyone?  How would love go about sharing and nurturing all life?  How would love do conversation, fun, relationship. How would love help in the discovery and expression of each living being’s unique gifts?

It seems I would be remiss if I didn’t’ also hold a vision of myself as a New Earth woman. And what does that look like?

In addition to a fuller opening and expansion of a few inner gifts to offer, I envision a me as one who walks in both the Old and New Earth  in love with everything in every moment. And how do I accomplish that? I open to the love that I am and let it be the source of every bit of  energy I emit into the world.

And how do I do that?

I am hardly there yet.  But, I have a goal and it seems simple. Simple, except there seems to be some things within I long to release. What would love do?  What would love imagine?

A vision emerges.

She is a woman who walks the world this way:  In every moment love is lord of my thoughts, love is lord of my words, love is lord of my every action.

I once read about an Indian traveler who lived alone and his home was simply wherever he was in any moment. He had no permanent place and wondered around whenever an inner whim prompted him to go somewhere. And then things simply happened to get him there  –  people or circumstances or even train tickets dropped on the ground, simply appeared to take him to the whim’s suggestion.

He loved everyone, no matter what appearance was presented. He loved because he always noticed the light within. He saw light, but his vision of the hero within, opened his heart even more.  He saw the hero courageously moving forward amidst the fear, the sadness, the illusions of poverty, illness and hurt. The hero experienced these and continued anyway – seeking more experiences in consciousness, more wisdom, more memories, more perspectives.

More, courageously more.

The old Indian traveler had a powerful and quiet influence – people felt uplifted and loved in his presence. His whole countenance was a gift of joy and peace.

Like Martin Luther King, I have a dream that one day, who knows when,  the world and I would transform and I will  be like this old Indian man.

A simple joyful being who uplifts the world with every step.
