Little Poems to Ponder – Janice Coyle

Poetry has been a long-time hobby for me – a place of word and grammar freedom that frees expression to soar. From time to time, I will  post my poetry and poetry and writings by others who have inspired me. So this week will be poetry week  beginning with this posting today, and Wednesday a surprise quest poet will appear, and Friday another longer poem by me. We start today with a few little pieces.

the soul knows something

I do not know when thinking

but gazing into nowhere

I just am, I am here, all is here

where soul knows everything

I sit here silently unmoving still

these thoughts no longer move me

as feathers flung to nowhere feel

like something glimpsed an instant

and then forgotten and is free

as I am free

to sit here silently unmoving still

A sparrow feather flows

helpless in the unheeding wind

to finally meet the willow leaf

a kiss is born

despite everything

I will be a butterfly

where each mere second counts

an infinity of meaning

an eternity of senses

and surrender lies entirely

in each lovely instant
